Georgia Motorists Get A Break
August 5, 2008
The GMAC Insurance Group, a major US-based automotive insurance provider, has stated earlier today that it’s lowering its rates in the state of Georgia. GMAC policyholders with Georgia-registered vehicles will be paying approximately 7% less a year for their car insurance, say GMAC representatives.
The savings will come in a variety of forms and will differ on a customer-by-customer basis. The savings will mostly take the form of annual premium deductions. However, the amount of money that is deducted will be determined by variables different for every driver, such as where in Georgia they reside, what type of vehicle they drive, their age, and the amount of coverage they have.
GMAC added that policyholders can garner additional savings by paying for their entire annual coverage up-front, rather than spacing out payments throughout the year. GMAC went on to point out that the new reductions can be combined with the company’s existing discount programs, such as the GM Retiree discounts and the price reductions for GM Dealership workers.
Scott Murphy, VP of product and pricing at GMAC, is arguably one of the brains behind the company’s price reductions for Georgia drivers. “We are committed to providing new and existing customers with outstanding service at affordable prices,” he explained to the press. He reminded that customers who take advantage of the new discounts will still be eligible for GMAC’s unique benefits programs.
Murphy went on to enumerate GMAC’s many benefits programs for customers. “In addition to the new lower prices, we’ll continue to offer… benefits, such as our outstanding SmartServices, including SmartValet, SmartInspect and the SmartParts Promise, and our 24/7 claim reporting service and emergency expense allowance.”
GMAC insures all types of motorized vehicles, which aren’t restricted to four-wheeled, two-axle private automobiles. The company insures motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, and trucks and buses intended for commercial use.
